Default Help on Headers

I have a 2002 coupe A4, and thinking of putting on headers it has the Borla exhaust and K&N filter.
I see that there a lot of different options. And wondering just which way is the best, not really the most expensive but best bang for the buck. Heard a lot about a tune afterward etc. Help!!! Advise Please
I am new at the vett owned a few other cars, last was a G35.
The budget is in the area of about 1500.
Thanks
Ed

Hi Ed , and welsome

Ok lets start with the LG Streets as what I recommend to all my customers.Thats becuase I'm an LG dealer

Great price at around $1100.oo with cats and an x-pipe.
You should have a tune done afterwards to get the most out of your new exhaust. If you are going with a wide band tune you should have an extra o2 bung welded in for the tuner.

Hope that helps

Kooks, American Racing and LG are pretty popular these days. Make sure you get a set of high flow cats and an x-pipe. Sold a used set to a friend. He had a cold air intake. When we went to the dyno, he started at 309 and after the tune was up to 351 rwhp.

Here a couple pics of stock vs. the system that I sold him.

Nothing wrong with LG Streets for your budget, look in the C5 Parts section and you may find a good deal on some used headers

I found a great set of used (5000 miles) Dynatech headers with catted x-pipe at about half of the cost that they would have been new. I'll do the install myself and even after a dyno tune it will still be cheaper than your $1500 budget! There are lots of great parts that come up for sale on this board and if you're patient you'll get a great deal!

Default Headers

I had a set of Dynatech headers, high flow cats and a LS6 intake installed last week by Anthony01.

Stock with a Corsa X pipe next to Dynatech

Installed

I will be visiting the tuner on Tuesday.

Default Thanks

I want to get out and drive it for awhile, but the bottom line is headers, cats, X pipe and route it through my Borla. I will keep my eye on the for sale board.
Again Thank you for the time.
