How much should I pay?
Hi Everyone,
I'm 37 and I've always wanted a corvette and decided that this year I'll get one. I found a 2004 convertible (automatic, triple black) for $32,900, it has 35K miles on it and seems to be in perfect condition, its from a dealer.
I know I want an 04 black convertible and while there are quite a few C5's in my area to choose from, I haven't found many of exactly what I want like this one. What do you guys think? What is a good price for this car?
Thanks for your help!

Rocky, you'd get more replies if you filled out your bio. As for what you should pay, check www.nada.com, fill inthe blanks, and you'll see what the car brings in YOUR area. (Here, on the left coast, they cost more.) Then jot down the VIN, and take it to your local Chevy parts department and ask them to run a vehicle history on the car -- it's free. Then consider taking the car to a Chevy-Corvette-savy dealer for a pre-purchase inspection. Lastly, invest in a CARFAX for added information. After you've educated yourself fully with these actions, you'll be able to make an informed decision. Happy hunting!
You’ll always pay more when buying from a dealer. Even at that, the price does not so sound bad. Offer him $30,000, maybe he’ll meet you in the middle. Also see if he’ll throw in a GMPP (GM Warrantee). Good Luck!
