The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts
simply is NO comparing the two.If the 355 and any corvette were parked side

Let's face it, no honest, intelligent person thinks a Vette can compete with a Ferrari (at least on the terms discussed in this thread). Then again, no other $50,000 car can either, not even if it were made in Italy! :D

1)The whole "intangible" aspect of a Ferrari, as well how we've talked about the importance of *how* you get around the track, and how it's not all just about numbers. I really enjoyed reading you guys' takes on that. It's nice to see people actually acknowledge that for a chance, rather than just dismiss the car as an "overpriced exotic" (which to me screams "vendetta" or something....hahaha)
2) How it is true that the Vette and F355 aren't really comparable on most terms (they're just so different); but at the same time, there's really not anything that can give the world class performance and style of a Vette for the money (be it from Italy, Germany, or the USA.....you name it......there's really nothing in it's class that can touch it). Hell, the Z06 was whipping up on the 996 911 Turbo. I mean that is *INCREDIBLE* to me. I never really thought I'd see the Vette acheiving that kind of feat. Wonder how the coupe would fair against it? Anyway, I think you get the picture. :)
This thread has been lots of fun to read! :yesnod: :D

Let me think about this for a nano second.... duh. I'll take Enzo's offering thank you. :boxing :D
Oh, and I think you'll find most 550 owners really could care less about 1/4 mile times & elapsed speed. Sure, they're great for bragging rights at the bar but when you are looking at these types of comparisons they are completely irrelevant.
I love my Z06 too but let's not get carried away with ourselves here ...

(maybe I just don't get the 1/4 mile fascination ... I just like driving the thing!)

But I have never been given the wave back: ***** in your court.
How many miles are on your car now, and when you bought it? One of these years, I could be interested in getting a mid 80's Ferrari as more of a 'driver'.
