A\C vent removal??
Hey all, does anyone know of a how to on removing the passenger side A\C vent. I need to replace \ repair the little part you grab to move the vent up, down & sideways. Can I just remove the vent assembly as a whole unit or not????

the book says you have to remove the whole dash to replace the entire vent. However the same thing happened to my 98 when i had it on all 3 of the dash vents(that little slider deal broke). instead of removing the dash and replacing i bought all 3 vents new and i cut the slider deal out of the new vent and then i used the new slider and put in on the old vents, it didnt take that long once i figured out how to do it and saved me from pulling out the dash. if i remember right i used 4 small buzz/jigsaw blades to hold the part in place when putting it together, you have to use something flat. give this method a try, i know it can be done but i havent done it for a while so my details are a bit rusty. nate
