Default Window tint advice needed

I had my window tint guy stop the tint at the fourth defrost strip from the top of the rear window, where the dots get close together. I picked up some flat black glass paint from Hobby Lobby (the kind that does not require firing). It took three coats but after I was through it formed a nice smooth arc that blends with the black band across the top of the back window so well you can not tell where the factory blackout ends and the painted area begins. A couple of tips, I taped the edge of the tint with 1/4" masking tape. It bends easily to form a smooth arc along the defrost line. The tint guy told me to wait two weeks before taping the edge of the edge so I would not lift the film. I waited a month. You can not see the black out area from the drivers seat and it blocks all the sunlight coming through that portion of the window straight down into the back of the car.

P.S. After I finished, you can not see the dots in the area I painted anymore, even in bright sunlight.

the tint shop I went to said it was no problem, the person that ran the shop just told it me you just have to know what you are doing, and it came out fine!!
