Curious, which wheels do you guys prefer painted or polished?

For me, it depends on the color of the car. On my pewter car, I've had both. And honestly I do like the looks of the painted wheels that are on there now over the high polished ones that came originally on it.

I like both really. I have painted aluminum 2000 oem wheels on my AW 98.
Eventually I will get new wheels, but I like some of the machined silver wheels that shine, but are not polished.
