I was watching Dream Car Garage this morning on Speed and they showed a C6 with the battery in the back, away from the computer...... I would prefer that location but it would take a lot of wire to do it. Perhaps there is a kit.
Umm. You can buy a General or Vehicle Specific Remote Battery kit from something like summit Racing or Jegs.. But Didn't GM put the Battery there to help offset or distribute the Drivers Weight?

Didn't the C6 cars (maybe only C6/Z06?) come from the factory with rear mounted battery due to the wet sump?
thanks everyone , also 30 ft batt. cable weighs alot. i thought more people done this , i think ill leave it where its at . i would only be adding to much weight now that i thought about it thanks ski.
I'm not positive about this, but I think only the C6 Z06 has the battery in the rear, the regular C6 has the battery in the same location as the C5. If anyone wants to relocate their battery in the rear, Lingenfelter sells a kit to do it. For handling and traction improving, the battery should be in the right rear.

That's correct ... the C6 Z06 has the battery in the rear .... the oil dry sump for the LS7 engine is where the battery would "normally" be in the engine compartment.
The non-Z06 C6's have the battery in roughly the same location as the C5 location.
