Spoke with Shawn from LAPD yesterday, he was expecting them in around the middle of December, but now he's not sure! I really say Hurst is losing my confidence. I can't believe its taking this long to produce a shifter that is not all that complex. After hearing all the opinions on the Ripper and Kirban I only hope the Hurst is an absolute "diamond"!

Is Chris Rhinehart involved in the design of the Hurst C5 shifter? He did the one for the Hurst C4. If so, he's on the Forum so he should know what the status is. His C4 shifter was well designed. Hopefully the C5 unit will be, too.
I have one that Hurst sent me as a sample to check out, we just put it back together and I will be installing it in place of my Ripper when I get back from vacation.
Any Hurst retailer will sell the shifter once it is available. I recommend ordering from Exit 28 Motorsports, they are taking orders now at a good price and will get them out ASAP.
The shifters are in assembly next week, and will be in motion once assembled. They won't be issued to dealers until they get from Nevada to Ohio via truck. I don't expect dealers to have them until after but near Jan 1, due to the holidays.
Hurst is completing this project as fast as they can, but they have lots of other products to manage and produce. Please just relax, it won't be long.
