Default C-5 shocks question.

I sold a complete set of F-45 shocks on fleabay. They buyer wrote back saying he thinks they are bottoming out. When they were removed they all worked great. I removed the F-45 and added Z06 so I could put lowering bolts on without any problems. Does anyone know of any problems with F-45 after removing them from a C-5? Any help I can give him would be great.

Maybe his system is dead? They have a fairly low linear damping ability when not powered so the car will bottom out when a certain size of bump is hit. It would be bouncy over bigger bumps too. However, it will ride real nice on smoother roads.

To make a long story short I ended up putting ride control shocks on my car for a trip and my car doesn't have the electronics for it. The above describes exactly how it rode.

If the car is lowered more than about 1-1/2" the F45's will bottom out on bumps.
