I have aproblem with my driver window I need to fix and Im almost certain somebody on here knows what to do.
It goes up and down just fine but seems out of adjustment. If I roll it up all the way, I cannot open the door because the window will be caught on the little black catch on the side of the roof so I have to roll it down about a half inch to get in and out of the car.
When Im driving down the highway with it rolled all the way up, I can hear a small amount of wind getting in by my head. I dont think its straight and none of the seals appear to be torn.
If the glass is not centered in the body opening, you will need to remove the door panel, loosen the two clamps that hold the glass in the window regulator assembly, and adjust the glass. You can get someone to help center the glass from the outside while you sit in the car and tighten the clamps when the glass is in position. Loosening the clamps will allow you to move the glass forward, backward, and up and down.
If you need to adjust the tip-in of the glass, you can do that by adjusting the lower guide rail mounting bolts on the regulator assembly.
If the passenger side glass is adjusted correctly, you can look at it for reference on how tight the glass should fit along the top of the weatherstrip, and how far forward the glass needs to be to seat in the weatherstrip.

You can make minor window adjustments through access holes in the door without removing the door panel. The factory shop manual has details ... sorry I don't have them in front of me at the moment or I'd give a quick summary.

Thanks for the info. Does this require removal of the cap behind the inside door handle? (the little oval piece that always breaks?) As soon as you can get that info that would be great. It is just off a little bit and I believe I can make minor adjustments needed with this procedure.

No, I don't think the cap behind the inside door handle has to come off. I think the red reflector in the door panel and a rubber plug on the bottom of the door comes off for adjuster access.
I might not be able to get the manual info for a while. Is there anyone here on the forum that could look up the window adjustment procedure for tomseal6 and post?
Here is a link I found on this website that shows the procedure. You can use the Search function to find many threads about adjusting the windows.
The adjustments behind the reflector and at the bottom of the door are for "minor" adjustments only. If it is only off by a fraction of an inch, you can adjust without removing the door panel. For anything beyond that, you have to go to the clamps that hold the glass in.
