Lately, my steering wheel has started to make this low "moaning" noise when it is being turned. It is a bit embarrassing with a passenger in the car. Anyone else have this problem?
I'm guessing getting some WD-40 in there may help..
not sure this is the problem as the noise is within the interior, but I could be wrong.
I thought the something until I put the grease where the tip shows. It stop the problem. Not sure if WD 40 will stop it. You need something a bit heavier in my opinion.

WD40 is not a lubricant. WD40 displaces moisture (the name means Water Displacement, and it was the 40th formulation). The tip calls for white lithium grease - which is available in a spray. The white lithium grease will last so you don't have to do this again soon.
I'll pick up some grease on the way home today. I can't quite tell by the picture in the above link, but where is the lower bearing? Do I have to remove anything to get to it?
