Help! Engine Light Came On
Hey Guys, what a better place for advice. the engine light came on today......i checked all the fluids, checked the engine compartment, temperature and pressure seems fine and engine and all other components(electrical, a/c etc.) seemed/sound just fine...I took the car to the nearest Chevy dealer, but besides the fact that it was late they were swamped and could not get to my car today, wont be able to take it until next week
....she wont be driven much. Question is! What are some of the reasons for the engine light to come on?

Me, too...
I had that happen to me last week (after only owning a Corvette for a week). The technician at the dealership asked me if I had recently put gas in the car. I told him I had. He said that sometimes if you don't put the gas cap on and turn it until it clicks several time, it can cause you to get this readout. I don't know if that's true or not, but my Kia was that way. I think it resets itself after a while if that's the only cause for the light coming on. Hope that's some help.
