sorry for the delay in getting back to this, heck, you may have figured it all out by now, but these are the (2) links I stumbled across and referred too that gave me the hope that this is easy enough for even me to try to do myself! the hardest part was writing the check for almost $500
this first link below shows a picture of a tool that comes in many different shapes (nail puller) and almost everyone has one of these in the garage/shed... or like another person mention using, a door handle removal tool, or a bbq fork, another great idea as well.
I will say this... it took me all of 15 minutes from start to finish to do this, super easy!! the plastic hold downs have a ribbed tip that lets you pop em out with a light flip of the wrist and to pop em back in is as easy as lining the holes up and poking one back in its place.
The only other thought is that I might suggest you have someone else help hold it steady while you do it, but it's not necessary.
Very cool! Nice work my friend, looks great. I have a buddy here in Michigan that has car #34 and made an offer on #12 but was turned down.
So that is a sticker on the hood liner eh? Hmmm? How does it look up close? I want to do something like that as well for my Z but was leaning more towards painting it. Wish they sold an aftermarket embroidered liner/insulator.
The liners are only $114 at the Dealership, if someone could embroider them and sell them for $300 or more they could make some extra cash quick. I would buy one for sure.
