My C5 came with a set of quad flowmasters on it. doesn't sound too bad. I haven't heard enough exhausts in person to try to compare it to anything though.
Its really hard to judge how an exhaust sounds without hearing it in person but heres a clip of my flowmasters.
The tips don't look THAT bad!
The 'day' clip is before I gutted the pre-cats. 'Night' clip is after. Hair of a difference in sound. A little deeper and a hair louder is all. http://media.putfile.com/C5-Flowmast...Pre-Cat-Delete
Flowmasters belong on a big pick up truck with big obnoxious tires and a gun rack
People from New Jersey shouldnt throw stones
The flowmasters sound nice, better than OEM at idle, pretty quiet around town (no drone) and loud when you want them to be (at WOT). A nice compromise between stock and racecar exhaust.
open my post about wires there happens to be a youtube clip of my vette gettin tuned, it has Flowmasters.
Charlie, a VERY well respected tuner, mentioned on his own "the Flowmasters sounded good", now when Charlie speaks, people listen, so there you have it, I really like my Flows but IMO, the 4 round tips are indeed just a bit to small looking in diameter, out back. However I do recommend them, good bargain, nice results.
