They are expensive, but I'm pleased with the results. Hit a few snags, like a broken header bolt I'm running the offroad set-up, using a predator to keep the CEL from lighting up. The system looks good and I can feel a SOTP difference. It is a bit loud, to me, even running thru the factory Ti's.
I went w/ LG LT Pros w/x pipe & hi flo cats, hooked up to the Ti's. When I was done, I was expecting the system to be louder @ idle . Did you use the exhaust manifold gaskets that came from LG? The ones they sent me were like 3/16" thick, made out of abestos material. I used the metal GM ones used on a standard LS1, not the LS6.

I bought the upgraded gaskets from LG, they're a multi-layer metal gasket. Also on the drivers side the air tube hook-up must be a little different, because my frc doesn't quite sit right now, it hits on the little metal canister thats in the air tube line.
Don, the GM gaskets ( #12558573 ex. Manifold) (#10276792 pipe to cat back) (Air pipe to ex.manifold # 12553617 ) This will quiete things down. I didn't have problems w/ the air tube on the D/side not lineing up. The Pro part # on the system I bought was R/H Header#52812 & L/H Header#52811. Also L/h Down pipe assy.#52814. R/h Down pipe assy.#52815. Was the broken header bolt, left on from previous owner? You want to tighten the header to head bolts in two passes. 1st @11 ft.lbs. 2nd.@ 18ft.lbs. The air pipe to ex. manifold is 15 ft.lb. You want to put anti seize on the threads of all the bolts. Hope this can be of some help.
Hey thanks a lot for the info. The broken bolt was on installation. It wasn't even snugged up yet. I'm going to recheck all bolts today after a few heat cycles. After a bit of driving , I don't think it is much louder at cruise.
How 'bad' is the smell at of unburnt fuel at idle w/o the cats? Noticeable?
My smeller's not to good either, but I honestly have never picked up that rotton egg smell that I have gotten from other cars before. When I first put the headers on I had the hi flows on. I took them off very shortly thereafter,& been running w/ the off roads for several yrs now.I think it is best to put anti seize on all the slip joints, where the clamps are located. With the bullets it's best to get every thing adjusted & then have the pipes welded all arround the perimeter, where the muffler clamps go, & do away w/those clamps. They ship them out in pieces from the manufacturer , so they can put them in a much smaller box.
Opinions vary, but I have had my LG Pros for over two years and love them. I'm using the hi-flo cats and the TI exhaust and personally like the balance of the sound. Quiet at idle/cruise and loud enough for me at WOT. I heard a friends car with LG LTs and Stingers and while he thought it was cool at first, it got old after a while, plus he gets harrassed at the local road course when they check his decibels so he has to coast by the sound meter. He advised me to stay with the stock exhaust and was sorry he had sold his after he bought the Stingers. Besides the SOTP feel, it's nice to know the real HP is there as well!
Thanks for the tips guys. I just took the bolts out of the front brackets. I haven't gotten any CEL yet and I'm running the original 4 sensors with 36K on them.
