Like someone said about my radio install. "Now if we could only do something about the heater controls."
Looks good.

Looks real nice I was going to ask about the seats, too bad you couldn't get them to fit right.

Thanks guys.... in the last picture. You can see the seats laid over. I really hate those bad boys didn't go in. They would have really, really looked good in the car. Plus I loved those seats like a fat kid loves cake. Oh well.... onto the next mods! The cam is being put in right now, and the breaks should be on sometime next week. Ill shot some pictures of that install. To see what you guys think. Ill make sure to have her nice and clean

Looks good.... But why do you have a gap at the top of the bezel? Also for the heat A/C controls I used some scrap cedar wedges I had laying around to push the controls out to meet the bezel.... I used tape to hold them in place....

Yeah my install had issues with that gap. He called me, and I came up to try and help, but we could not get that gap to close up. It's the only think I did not like about this double din. If you know of anyway of getting it out. Please let me know. Im up for any ideas!!!!

Thanks,

i see from your sig. that you have done a lot of mods to the motor. I chose to do the cosmetic mods first, and I really don't plan on moding the motor to much, besides the cam, and heads. Other than that it will only be cosmetic mods to the car. I've got the itch for a c6z. So I'm not wanting to put to much money into this. Just a few nice tasteful mods, and let her be.

Thanks

a tip if you want to reduce the gap ...

when you're tightening the bolts near the traction control button .. push forward on the bezel at the bottom near the bolts, then tighten the bolts.

looks good btw.

Looks very nice but yeah that is a pretty bad gap there!! Since the shape of the bezel and dash shouldn't have changed im willing to bet the bezel itself was installed wrong and/or the climate controls or your double din radio are not seated correctly. I would pull that bezel out and see whats restricting it from seating against the dash pad fully. Im sure its something simple and a easy fix.

Ive got to take it back to the installer. We will try to pull that gap out. It's looks worse in the picture then in person. But its the fact that I know its there, ya know?

Thanks

I'm thinking it is something simple to. It's just the fact of taking the time of taking it back out, and seeing what is keeping it from flushing up with bezel. Ill be sure to let you guys know how it goes. I'm going back this week to get ur looked at.

Thanks for all the kind words,

Everyone is saying nice install, I am sorry, I could never have my dash have gaps in it, I am surprized you even posted pictures of it. I am sorry, I am just not feeling it, The unit you got for it must be too big or something, I have seen others do the install and they didn't have any gap at all.
I am not trying to be mean, It is just you have a nice looking car and to have the dash like that... Maybe you can try some kind of filler, Like weather strips? Just a thought.

Bill
