I have seen several C5s with the chrome Lingenfelter fender badges.
What does this mean exactly?
Does it mean it contains Lingenfelter part(s)?
Does it mean it has an entire Lingenfelter engine?
Does it mean that some installation was done at Lingenfelter plant?
I have a 99 383 LPE and I have no badges of any kind, engine covers or anything. all I have is a build sheer showing what was done, cost and warranty, which was 24 months. Also has test specs after the build.
I've see two Vettes with LPE Supercharger badges that were not supercharged. One guy claimed the TB was the supercharger. The other guy said be bought it that way. Another was a guy that claimed it was an LPE 427, but the engine was a stock LS1.
There are posers out there.
They don't really mean anything to me... anyone can put on a badge. Reminds me of the "Type R" epidemic that you used to see out there. I've seen a "Type R" Geo, Camry, and Mustang. It's the same as a V6 mustang owner putting Cobra badges on his car... and I've seen it more than a few times.
Just remember, the badges are the cheapest thing of the package... like the above poster said: Lots of posers out there.
This is what I was referring to - just wondered what this is "supposed" to mean? Does this maybe mean a Lingenfelter body kit or panels installed? I have seen these badges a few times posted on forum member cars. Maybe it is just for "advertising" purposes?
The Lingenfelter side badge is available only for Lingenfelter installed packages. Every Indiana built car is qualified to have these exclusive Lingenfelter high quality chrome metal badges and will come complete with certificates of authenticity, complete with a raised stamping. for security.
