I think you made the right choice. You have a nice car already and not near the number of payments a new vette would take to pay off. Warmer weather is coming, the Z will keep you smiling all summer.

It may just be another red Z, but it's still a Z which makes it better than everything else.

...well, except the new Z maybe, but you know what I mean.

Good choice John! I wanted to buy John's Z06 and was really wanting to pull the plug as it is so freaking clean. I was even looking at plane tickets for the wife and I and then drive it home but Feb is not a good time to drive back to Toronto in a Z06 I found a car closer by so it was easier to get home. Still love the TR best though!

Your car looks really good. Arrest Me Red is good on ZO6's.

That is weird? Mine is dropped on coil overs and I don't hit anything on the less than perfect roads in Atlanta?

I have the stock size tires on back and 275/40/17 up front.

As far as lowering options for your car, you can do one of the following:

1. Most people lower their cars on stock bolts. This will give you a more aggressive look, but it did not do if for me.
2. Some people install longer bolts in the rear to drop the car more and then either cut or remove the bushings up front to drop the front of the car more. This makes the car look more aggressive and drops it lower, but it does not solve the limited shock travel problems and skittish rear suspension when hitting mid corner bumps.
3. For about half the price of coilovers, your can buy the Pfadt inverted sport shocks and you will get just about everything except the ride height adjustment (which you can control with the factory or aftermarket bolts)
4. On the more expensive side is installing coilovers. If you buy the Pfadt units, you get 16 way adjustability to suit your driving style, more shock travel, almost infinite height adjustability, and excellent customer service.

I decided to do it right the first time and spend the extra money on the coilovers and forgo the “I wish I had’s…..” down the road.

I hope this helps answer some of your questions. You can also call Aaron Pfadt, he helped me a bunch when I was trying to make up my mind on what to buy.

By the way, I LOVE your C2!
