wife is going to start traveling more and is looking for the best suitcase for air travel and also to fit in the c5 . she is looking for something that an old [maybe i should say mature] woman can handle and will meet airline specifications . she wants one and not multiple cases . HELP!!!! and thanks . . . .peace
Im Not Sure What She Is Looking For. Anything Fits In The C5. I Get My Huge Bag (for My Wife And I For A Week) Plus My Wife's Makeup Thingy, Plus Two Golf Bags.
Go to WalMart and buy a full set of blue soft side luggage that is awesome and enough for two people for a week or more for around $60...I know from experience.
Here's a hint for golfers with verts. Pickup one of the collapsable/foldable bags put it in one of the rear compartments. They don't take up any room at all. Then, lay your clubs flat and pack on top of them. They take up no room at all and my clubs always go with me on trips - or I don't go.
I've got two of the largest carry-on bags that also have wheels and collapsible handles plus extra compartments. They easily fit in the back of the Z06 with room to spare, including three large tote bags. You only have to be concerned with the height when they lay down so you can get them under the rear window. Believe it or not, there's still room for the stuff you accumulate on any trip. I've had an amazing amount of luggage in my trunk for more than a week's road trip. My wife has never complained that she had to leave something home. You can find good quality bags at Walmart.
Seems the limiting factor is the air travel and requirements for size, etc... The car can handle anything she would take as a carry on. Focus the energy on best for air travel and her lugging it around most easily.
Might look into one of those things that covers rear compartment contents if it is a coupe. And be sure she parks it in a safe place while she lets it set at the airport. At our local airport there was a story about valet joyriding cars and theft of a Hummer!
