C6 Avis rental
Wife and I are making vacation plans for summer and are thinking of cruising around Maine. Don't want to run my '97 all those miles and am looking to fly, then rent a C6. No one at Avis seems to understand I'm willing to plan arrival city around vette availability. Have yet to find a C6 anywhere but Miami. Do any of you guys work for Avis, know anywhere in northeast with vettes for rent? Anywhere else?

You may not find them at any regular (AVIS, ENTERPRISE, etc) car rental agency.
You might find them at a specialty car rental/lease source...someplace that rents out high end cars, ala Ferrari, Mercedes, Lotus, etc.

If you haven't already you might try checking the Avis web site. Type in the location and they list the cars available. They had several C6s at Fort Lauderdale airport but that doesn't help you much with Maine.

I would check the Hertz Fun Collection. Their website lists a C6 convertible. I haven't rented that car before but I have rented a G35 through their Prestige Collection. It was 70ish a day if I remember correctly, and free mileage.
