Default My new low profile jack

Well after months of using ramps and 2x6's to get under my Vette I bought a low profile jack. I found this jack on Northerntools website. Here are the specs and a couple of pictures.
Lift Capacity (tons) 2
Min. Lift Height (in.) 2 1/2
Max. Lift Height (in.) 20
Dimensions L x W x H (in.) 42 1/4 x 13 3/4

Extra-long, low-side frames are designed for long reach under the car chassis
Low-profile design for maximum access, which fits easily and safely under vehicle
Wide stance and low center of gravity provides optimum stability under load stress
Universal joint release mechanism provides precision control of load descent in any handle position
Exclusive breather plug eliminates air in the hydraulic system
4 7/8in. saddle diameter

The cost was $239.99 plus $60 plus for shipping. This is a heavy jack over 100 pounds. Well worth the price it lifts the car up on 5 or 6 pumps.

Nice jack but over 100lbs? I'd have to get a jack to move the jack.

The one I saw at Costco is not the Omega. It is Blue and silver (racing jack). I have been looking for a great deal on the Omega for a while (ex: $200 with free ship). Do a search there is some feedback on the C6 section.

Correct me if I am wrong about Costo........

You are correct about that jack. The reason for this jack is because I a very low Vette and lower radiator support do to my Procharger.

it's funny you posted this thread, i just bought a new jack last night from the bay.

the new one is also a 2 ton jack but it's aluminum and is about 50lbs. it's not quite as long as yours but it's way better than the small aluminum one i have now and the larger steel one that i have won't fit under the car.

these are the specs of the one i'm getting.

Aluminum Jack

2 Ton capacity (4000 Lbs)
Product Weighs approximately 52.8 Lbs - BEST Quality
Lightweight billet aluminum construction
2 piece handle for easy storage
Easy handle effort due to large capacity cylinder
Minimum height of only 3-1/2 in - makes it perfect for ground hugging, high performance cars.
Maximum lift of 19-1/2 in
Overall length of this 2 Ton Aluminum Jack is about 29-1/2"
