Installed LS6 intake yesterday...
While doing this yesterday, I compared to the instructions on LS1howto.com.
While I think the write-up is "OK", there are definitely a few areas that are vague.
In particular, removing the climate control vac line, brake booster vac line and sensor located at the back or the intake.
For those of you planning to do it, take this advice:
After unbolting, pull the intake towards the front of the car and angle towards the passenger side. This will give you the best shot for getting the brake booster hose off. Using a pliers, compress and slide the hose clamp down and out of the way. The hose will probably be tight and not come off easily. Using a micro flathead screwdriver...apply some WD40 or lightweight oil and slide it around the rim of the connection. Then with a few twists it should break free easily. Then disconnect the sensor clip which will enable you to get better access to the climate control vac line. Reaching behind, find the 90degree small hose located on the passenger side of the manifold...then follow it down until you feel the tiny vac line...hold the vac line and then give the manifold a tug...you dont want to rip this guy! Doing so will render your climate control useless. Replacing this would be a nightmare.
Once off, be very careful to not let any dust, debris, tools etc fall into the intake ports in the heads! I actually shop vac'd and blew off the top of the engine prior to removal. There is actually a small gap between the bottom of the manifold and the head/block where crap can sneak into the area between the intake ports. The inner gaskets prevent it from actually being sucked in. It's a good idea to cover the openings and vac/clean the area prior to reassembly.
You'll have to remove the actual sensor from the old manifold and the 90degree outlet hose which connects to the tiny vac line. Install the sensor on the LS6 manifold before reassembly.
For the re-install, attach the 90degree hose on the tiny vac line first, then get the manifold, put the right & left rear bolts in and put into position...attach the brake booster hose first then the tiny vac line and last the elec clip. Then you can slide the manifold towards the fire wall and let the 2 rear bolt fall into place.
ALWAYS start threading the bolts by HAND. This is an aluminum engine and the bolts are steel!
Also...there is no torque spec listed for the rear coolant port plugs or the new lines mounted up front.. I used good judgement, but If I had to guess, I'd say no more than 50 in-lbs. If someone has this, please share it!
Also, while it can be done alone, another set of hands is really ideal.
I just wanted to give some tips on the above part of the process...hope it helps.

I've read that the LS6 intake is worth about 5-7 rwhp on a stock motor. However, when you start doing other mods to get more air in and out plus a tune, H/C etc...it really outperforms the LS1 intake.
