hey guys. need help in how to remove the stock shifter ****. just got the new one delivery today..any help would be great..oh yea..its a 97 c5

pop the center cap out....now get something under the locking pin and pry up....watch out and don't break your windshield when it comes shooting out... also don't cut your hand or......or....or...

you'll get it..

I grabbed the key with needle nosed vice grips, and then tapped upward. Worked like a charm.
