This past weekend I bought a 2002 black/black ZO6 (has every option except the BSM). What a beast! It's been about twenty years since I last drove a vette, but the seat of my pants says this thing is as stout (if not more so) than my '69 427/435 roadster was. The good old days of the muscle car still live!
We put about 200 miles on it going to the wine country here in Northern California, but what a sweet drive it was.
I've enjoyed reading the forum (for the last three days) and look forward to a long association.

I've had mine a little more than a week. My wife and I went to Carmel for dinner last Friday. Hit the 500 mile mark on the trip and couldn't resist fully using 2nd gear on an on ramp. Truly phenomenal! You are absolutely right that performance is back, more so when you consider how much better the Z06 handles than muscle cars (including Vettes) of old. Congratulations!
