Default O. E. Concepts wheels

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am considering getting the OE - C6 Z06 wheels for my 98 vert. Does anyone have experience , good or bad with these? I talked to someone at tomzwheels and she assured me they are aluminum and have triple chrome plating. Seems like a great price! thanks , Mark

I tried to order OE C6 Z06 stock in the C5 size this week. They do not have the correct offset at this time, do not make them yet. They do not offer the 17 x 8.5", only 9.5" for the front. I want to use my stock size runflats, they are practically new. The tire is 9" wide, so the rim would be wider than the tire. Factory Repro does have the correct size and offset, but they are back ordered a month or so. If anyone out there knows different, please let me know.

Don't worry, go with the 17x9.5 that would be stock front for a Z06 C5, your tires will be fine and give it a nicer front stands

The problem is also with the offsets, the front tires would look like they stick farther out than the rear tires. If the offsets were correct, I probably would go with them.

Check and see what the off sets are for a Z06, I just installed 18x9.5 C6 Z06 Style wheel for my 03 convertible and the tires I'm using are 275/35/18 and they don't stick out at all. The correct off set for a 17x9.5 should be 54 not 56 as in the 17x8.5.

You'll have no issues with the 54 off set

Hey guys i am new to the forum and a new owner of a 98 vert. Ive had 4 different Camaros and now this is my first Vette WHAT AN UPGRADE ! I need help though ,I am running new 245/45/17s and 275/40/18s when i bought and had them mounted I am pretty sure the place bent one of my rims , I had no issues with steering wheel shudder in the past. After they assured me the equipment they use cant bend a rim my only option other than gettn nasty will be to buy new rims. I am on a limited budget as most of us Im sure and it looks like my seat cover fund is going to go towards new rims. The best i can tell without putting a mic on them the wheels seem to be 9.5 and 10.5 and I am not really familiar with offsets? I want to get the OE C6 Zo6 wheels does anyone know of any reason this might be another screwup? THANKS GUYS !

why do you assume its the rims and not the tires? because they're "new"? I can't tell you how many "new' tires I've seen that have been out of round. Take your car somewhere else where they have a good balancing machine and get the tires ckecked before you go out and buy new rims.

It could be the rim, I just purchased 4 new C6 Z06 wheels for my C5 and before mounting them on the tires I had them spun ( Heard to many horror stories on this wheels from China ) sure enough one was wobbling and out of round. I am in the process of exchanging it for one hopefully that has no issued.

I agree, if I had the same size tires as you they would work, mine are the same as the next post here copied and pasted). The tire size and offsets cause the wheels to look like the front wheels stick farther out than the rear wheels. That's not a look that I want.

They showed me the rim out of round on the balancer , at first that was my thought too that it might be a tire because i didnt have a vibration problem with my old tires. they tried to tell me my old tires wore in to the out of round wheel and thats why they didnt shudder and vibrate.
