Last tuesday night around 10:30 a kid ran a traffic light, hit me in the dirivers side which in turn caused me to drive directly into a utilitity pole. The result is, my beautiful torch red vette is a total loss.
I'm not sure where I go from here! It was my dream car for 40 years.
Glad to hear that only the car was a total loss. Poles can do horrible, horrible things to human beings inside out of control cars. I've seen plenty of that.
And nows your chance to take the insurance money and get that Z06 you've really been dreaming about.
Sorry to hear, man. I don't know WHAT I'd do if I were in your shoes. I feel sad just from the tone of your post! Keep your head up, man, it'll work out in your favor, maybe for the better!

In the last two weeks, I have heard about three friends that have lost their cars - one was a road rage incident that sent my friend across five lanes of traffic through retention cables in the median, one was a friend in an '07 Z06 that lost it when he turned T/C & A/H off and the third was driving a Cobra (not the Mustang) that got broad sided by a woman driving an SUV.
Bottom line - each was here to show pics and talk about it. Each said the cars were insured and were happy it was just the car and had very minor or no injuries.
The plastic, metal and rubber can be replaced - the flesh and bone cannot. Sorry for your loss - but it can be replaced. Best of luck with a satisfactory settlement and finding another dream car.
I'm sorry for your loss and glad that you are okay Just remember that you can replace a car and be thankful that you had someone looking down on you keeping you safe from something much worse than losing a car.
