The C-5 does not have a cabin filter like the C-6 I assume, at least I cannot find it. I have a slight musty odor for a few seconds on startup. Any quick and easy solution rather that pay the dealer
$ 79.95 and up to fix it?
A/C drain is possibly plugged allowing water to accumulate...Jack the car up...locate the drain hose on the passenger side near the bottom of the firewall...be certain it isnt plugged.....

What I do for any car with this problem is
Start it up and with the AC on and blower high, spray Lysol in to the air intake for the cabin air, It's in the cowl area close to windshield wipers.
Spray it down real good, you will smell it inside, this should help.

Do make sure the drain tubes are open as well. Another thing that might help is to shut the A/C off a couple of miles from home, give things a chance to dry out before you park it.
I had this same problem last summer, if you turn the heat on right before you turn the car off, it will dry the moisture out before you turn the car off. Which should help, it helped me....I also did the Lysol spray in the floorboard but it didn't work as well as the above solution
Oh yeah...Ive run into that before...not on a Corvette though...a Cadillac!!!!...One sure way to tell if you have a mouse in your heater (besides the smell!!!) is the blower motor will make a bunch of racket....The mouse throws the "squirrel cage" out of balance...On high speed the blower motor (fan) sounds like youre driving on a flat tire!!!!
