Default FAST 90/90 Installed :)

Last week I had ECS install a FAST 90/90 intake setup on my H/C 2000 coupe. This however is not the off the shelf FAST plenum..I sent the intake manifold to Tony Mamo of AFR so that he can perform his porting magic and maximize the potential of my latest mod. The results were outstanding! To those who are running a H/C setup, adding a FAST90 wakes up the car even more. I highly recommend it!

My setup:

224/228 .581.588@114 comp cam
AFR 205 heads milled .020
Kooks 1 3/4 headers
Blackwing CAI
Z06 Intake
4.10s

Here is my previous dyno sheet with 3.42 gears:

416RWHP/383 RWT

Heres my dyno after the FAST90/90 with 4.10s

429RWHP/402Tq

So after calculating in the gears, I gained 24RWHP and the TQ jumped to 402! Im estimating the dyno would have read 405HP before the intake swap. (-10hp reading) Not that I care much about dyno numbers anyway...its how the car runs on the street that matters to me the most....believe me its different now!

After John@ECS bolted down the new FAST, Doug takes it out to the street and then hooks it up to the Dyna Pack for a re-tune. As usual, his tune is dead on! I have zero loss in drivability with the addition of the FAST. no bucking, no surging,no compromise! There was no loss in low end TQ. Throttle response is so much nicer..makes the car alot more fun to drive. The big improvement is after 4k RPM and up...the car pulls harder all the way to redline. Just more power across the board...its awesome!

Thanks to ECS and Tony for making my car more enjoyable to drive.

Here are some pics of the go fast goods...

Congrats. In every case I've seen, using Fast intake combo always results in power increases. had the same here and glad i did it.

question- you have afr heads, a nice cam, fast..pretty much a whole recipe car... how come others post 460-480rwhp with the exact same set up and your down by 30-40 rwhp?? others post 420-430 with just a cam..... either your numbers are correct and others are highly inflated or something..... can anyone else "chime" in with their opinion???

your using the tony package that made 500 rwhp in his car... i would think with the same set up you should be 470-480 at least...

224/228 wont make that kind of power

The cam he is using is pretty much the same one I use in my blower setup, so he is ready for the blower and big power, though you got some good N/A power now

Awesome results Ike. Bet the car is an absolute blast now. Plus you still have amazing street manors with that small cam.

On an ls1 I would think 450rwhp on the high end. I have a similar setup and am hoping for 440rwhp after I do my Fast install. If my bottom end wasn't so bad I would be hoping for 450rwhp.

Have you seen these 430hp at the drags? Rarely do they live up to the hp they dish out at the dyno shop.

Not sure why some dynos put out different numbers then others but I can tell you one thing, Ive pulled on higher HP cars many times (closed road courses ) so im not so worried about it.

Nope, came right from ebay and slapped onto the motor. you ahould have no prob hitting 440 as Im estimating mine at 439rwhp without the gears

dam gears...it would affect my numbers if I joined a dyno contest!

No, they were milled .020 You should really mill them for more more compression..how much milling depends on the cam your putting in.

1st off congrats Ike FI is just around the corner waiting for ya (come to the dark side young Sky walker). As far as the HP goes, I'm betting on cam size. I had basically the same combo on mine without the Fast 90/90 but with a G5X3 cam and it made 449rwph 412tq not to mention my AFR heads were milled to 59cc if memory serves me correctly (higher compression ratio). Enjoy Ike, see you soon!
