IMO, the HALOs are the best available for the C5. All the other LEDs have fewer leds and the pattern in which the LEDs are arranged leaves open "corners" at the 10-2-4-8 o'clock positions. Also, the other LED lights have some sort of flat plate-style surface (under a clear lens), with holes drilled through it for the LEDs to "poke" through. And finally, all the other LED taillights I've seen for the C5 are WAY more expensive than the Halos. If you haven't seen the HALOs in person, you should. They look SO MUCH BETTER than in photographs. For some reason, they don't photograph well. In fact, I never really liked them until I saw them in person. The quality and detail on these things is amazing!

This is my most recent mod and I'm glad I bought the Halos. They are the only C5 LEDs with a total of 32 LEDs per assembly. I also did Rich's Euro Clear corners with switchback LEDs and his very clever flasher bypass that eliminates any chance of hyperflash. Spend the $$ the first time and get it right, or save a couple bucks and regret it.
I have the ones from Corvette Enhancements, top quality and love my Black Cherry Halos, one of my best bling mods and they are bright when the brake lights come on during the day and much brighter at night

I think it would be cool to modify halos so that the "halo" part is on full power with the running lights and the inner LEDs are off except when braking/turn signals (they come on at full strength) This would be similar to the planned tails of the 09 camero
.....I smell a custom project in the works

My Blacked out Halos by corvette enhancements (a little darker than smoked cherry:
nope...you just have to trust your Corvette brothers when we tell you how great the halos look in person ...I bought a set from Richard at Corvette Enhancements a year ago and I liked them so much that I immediately bought a backup set. They are still new in the box just in case someone steals the ones on my vette

I thought you just use stock lens with the Halo Kit. I want and like the dark lens. Just thought this was two different items.
