I'll be the dissenter and say that the C6 has more potential in the power department because of the LS2 (and even more with the LS3). Not only more cubes to "suck up" a bigger cam, but the 4.00 bore offers better head options will less shrouding. Just bolt-on level, the cars will be very close in power.
However, the C5Z is a very different experience from a C6. I could have bought either and preferred the look and feel of the C5Z.
Common "motor" sense would definitely suggest this. However, I wont be going ***** out with the car. Basically, I would just look into the standard long tubes, intake (if necessary), exhaust components, and a nice cam with out having to get new heads. All in all, I would only be looking for around 420 rwhp or so. That should make the car plent fast for me. I do like the interior of the C6 better. But it drives too sloppy for me. I like the look of the C5Z alot better, and the steering and overall feel of the car is more appealing to me.
Thanks for the great input guys. It appears I have chosen a great web board to gather data on.
