remote mount cd changer
I have a 2k vert with the remote mount changer. My friend has a 98 with a remote mount changer that dose not work. I want to know if mine will work in her car and how much itmight be worth, I have the IPOD adapter so I dont need it.
I see them new on Ecklers for like $599
Are the cables the same I dont want to take my car appart to get at them. Just want ot sell her the cd changer.

Since your friend already has a changer, the cable should fit. Since all she needs is the actual changer box and not the cables and mounting brackets, your changer is used, and the Ecklers price is high, even for the whole package, I'd say $150-200 is fair. If she's a real good friend, $100-150.

Should be a simple "plug in" swap. $200 is a fair price. My changer gives me problems from "time to time" and as soon as I can afford an IPOD adapter (one that plugs into the changer plug) I intend to yank mine out as well. The neat part is we still have the CD slot on the dash for those odd times we want to play a CD.

keep an eye on eBay, every once in a while a new unit is listed. the older the unit the more prone they are to skip. not sure if an adjustment is available to cure the problem.
