Default HPE chuck anders info??

I figured this would be the right place to get some more info. My buddy got a email from Chuck Anders wanting to come and do a dyno day at his shop. He would tune the cars for somewhere between 250-500 per car. depending on attendance. Im doing some research to see if this is a legit thing and if anyone has heard of this before. or if we should walk away. He says he is the owner/founder of Horsepower Engineering in Houston. he says he has sold the shop and is a "freelance tuner you can say" My buddy talked to him on the phone and he said he sounded confident and sad he seemed to know what he was doing. any advice?

i recently had a full exhaust and tune done by chuck. i definetly feel a big difference in the car. i could not get any final numbers out of him though. maybe if i was there. the website has been down for some time now. i have seen alot of modded corvettes out here in houston and not alot of tuners here so i think he has probably done alot. overall i was pleased with my $400 tune. i think he has some work out there on youtube

we had a dyno day in NE at a shop in conn. and got 2 pulls for 75$ had a great turnout and met lots of fellow forum members. Price is high unless he id going to TUNE the cars, then it sounds OK, wish I could join you.

My brother had his Z28 tuned by Chuck after several bolt ons. He made 3 pulls on it and spent less than 30 minutes on it. The car still runs rich, and if I had gotten that treatment from a tuner for my $450, I would have been livid.

He got booted from LS1tech after selling a TSP cam as his own (even though the specs were almost 100% identical) and then getting belligerant about it. He ended up trading insults with moderators / founders over there. He got the boot, and I haven't heard anything since then.

IMO, steer clear. If your buddy is in Houston, got to MTI or G-Force or something.
