I was just thinking about this the other day for my 02. I would suspect the previous owner of my vette did no maintenance on the coolant in the 12k miles they had it. The hard part for me is getting rid of the old stuff. Once mine is emptied I think I will flush the system a few times using tap water out of the hose.
Can anyone tell me where the drain plugs are for the block? I have not been under the car looking. I know the old SB/BB motors had plugs on either side and would drain the jackets real quick and easy. Are the LS motors the same way?
The cooling system is one area of the vehicle that I refuse to touch. I never serviced it in any of my vehicles, always allowed the dealer or reputable repair shop handle it. The dealer charged me $134.00 for the complete service!
