Received my spoiler a few days ago but no instructions were included. Called John and he said to e-mail him and he would e-mail them back to me. E-mailed him twice and still no response. Vette is in the body shop now and I need these so that he can install it. I know it goes on with 3M tape but how much and where? Any of you have the instructions that came with yours, could you please e-mail them to me?
Thanks.
Unfortunately John Caravaggio runs hot and cold on customer service. I suspect it depends on the amount of business coming through the door at that moment. I had to keep on him to ship parts and pieces to where he was #1 on speed dial.
Good Luck.
PM FLATOUT or Z06Joe and ask them, they both have it

You need to use the High Dollar 3M tape not the cheap foam type stuff, but the thin black double sided tape that you get from a 3M dealer.
I basically applied a ton of the tape, a really good amount on every part of the underside. after that you just line it up, and stick it on Just make sure that the flat line lines up with the trunk line, and you should be good.
Thanks Andy. This is Mike in Missouri. How's my old CCW's doing? They sure do look good on your vette.
Did you put any 3M on the side spears of the spoiler?

Mike, i had my installed by the body shop but a number of guys have done this mod themselves and they put the double sided tape on the back of the rear deck (not the spoiler) and tape on the actual side spears. Then as you lower it on the car, have a guy on each spear pull back on it until the main body of the spoiler is seated and then let the spears go onto the side...hope that makes sense

Mike, do a couple of dry runs with a couple of buddies without any tape at all get the hang of it and see you feel after that. If I was do this I would dry fit the spoiler on the car and then run a piece of masking tape from the spoiler on to the back of the car. cut it where meets up the rear deck...that way when you're lowering the real deal you can line it with the tape to give you a general feel of how its dropping...just a thought

did mine with 3strips on main part ( front middle rear)and one running down wrap around part till it would show. 3-m makes an adhesive prep , if not available, I think denatured alcohol is 2nd best. Clean all contact areas well with this, and let dry. if you have a heat gun heating the area gently is also a nice touch. dry fit the spoiler to center it, and use painters tape to make a line up mark or two so you have a refrence point to keep it centered( tape top of spoiler and area where it will not be touching, i just did a center mark) after that its peel and stick. use a microfiber or soft cotton towel to press it down, and if you have the heat gun this is another time for gentle heating( really warming, if you get my drift), keep pressing down while warming the area. Thats about it. I found with mine the wrap around on the sides it has a small gap, when you dry fit if you see this just keep the gap even on both sides. I ran the 3m tape as far as I could on the wrap, but eventually it seperated. This never caused a problem, and the car was sold with the spoiler still attached( regret that now ). If you are bothered by the gap and have some skill, you can wait a week or two and let the spoiler settle in, thean use wide blue painters tape, tape are off around bottom and top of gap. and fill the gap with clear silicone. you need to be carefull, use the tape properly and go real slow. if you cut the tip of tube straight and REAL SMALL, you can fill the gap, remember, you are looking to fill the gap without silicone showing so keep tape close and use silicone to just fill the area, not like a tub, you dont want the curve seal like that, you are shooting for filling and where you would wipe with finger on a tub, here you put the tape all theway down , so when you peel it off you wont see a bevel of caulk but have made an adhesive gasket in the area between spoiler and car) let silicone set up for a while to skin over. pull tape off slowly and DO NOT TOUCH the silicone for 24 hours, you will have a nice seal and water will not get in the gap. have fum, its a great spoiler and when done properly the tape sticks very well up to some very high speeds
