Yet another C6Z06 Shifter Convert
I just got done with the install of a C6Z06 shifter in my 2002 Z06. I'm really liking it so far. The shifter itself is much more comfortable in my hand. The throws don't seem overly shorter than the stock shifter, but they feel much smoother. It also doesn't require any additional force.
As an added bonus, I can actually see the climate control buttons now when in 1st and 3rd gears
I used the conversion boot offered by Vette Essentials. It's a very nice match to the shifter.

I also just switched to the C6Z Shifter. I had a Delrin shift **** on my OEM C5Z06 shifter that I really liked. I ordered a Delrin **** from www.hardbarusa.com for the C6Z shifter.

I like mine also. The **** is perfect fit for me. I used to have a kirban with white hurst ****. This was also a nice combo but the effort to shift is much more than the C6 Z. Plan to keep the C6 Z set up for awhile.
