Default More mods, Some new some improved

I spent this winter working in the garage. I have already posted pic's of the rear swap and the torque converter swap. I had already played with the idea of the wide stripe. I had put it on in vinyl to see if I would like it, I did so now it is done in paint. I also did the seats, re-did my nitrous bottles and added down tubes to pass tech, I added roll bar padding to the bar where it could hit my head. I also cleaned up the mount for the Nitrous switches and added a shift light.

For the stripe view front,(already done) see avatar.

Sorry for so many pictures at one time, but I finaly got everything done.

How does it look?

These are the down tubes that go from the safety blow-off valve out of the passenger compartment.

Looks Where did you get the roll cage? I see it is bolted at the top of the fender wells. Is it bolted everywhere else or welded?

Thanks for all the kind words. The Nitrous bottles are mounted in a panel I made to replace the original. I didn't have the heart to cut up on the original cover so I made a replacement.

Yes, I did forget to give credit to Beer99C5 for the control panel with the switches. If anyone needs one of these he custom made this to my spec's and it is awesome.

The shift light looks like it might be in the way but actually it sits right in the middle of the tach and from the drivers seat you can see the needle sweep all the way around the out side of the shift light. It actually works great. Yes I do sometimes manually shift the Automatic.

The roll bar I made myself. It is made out of NHRA spec size tubing. As well as where you can see it mounted in the rear it is also mounted to the seatbelt top mounts (where the swivel for the shoulder strap is) and to a steel plate bolted under the seat mounts. It did stiffen the car up significantly. Without the top on I can feel the most difference.

I am hoping to get to the track in the next couple weeks to see what the effort pays off. My best, no slicks (which I also have now) is a 12.2. I am shooting for a low 11 time slip.

Slicks, gears, converter, 150 shot, I think I might make it.
