[Z06] Shift light in the dash?????

Shift light in the dash?????
Watch this video and check out the left side of the dash just beside the 3,000 RPM on the tach. It looks like the "check guages" or "1-4 shift indicator" light is being used as a shift light. The 2-3 and 3-4 shifts are the most noticeable ones.
