another question...would it hurt anything to leave the AIR pump in and working with no cats....dont really feel like taking it out until i have the intake manifold off for a head install later down the road and i hear if i leave it on with it turned off the first time i go to run it again (assuming i put the car stock one day) that it will pop

Yes I have been dealing with it for weeks now. Last week I bought 2 new front sensors and 12" flat to flat extensions and installed them. Have been about 50 miles and maybe 8 start ups with no codes yet. I still have my fingers crossed that this will fix the problem. If not I think I will have the two codes P0153 and P0133 which is the code for sensor 1 bank 1 turned off. The car runs fine. I think it is because of the location of the two sensors on the LG Pros. I also read somewhere that the oils used in cutting and fabrication of the headers may have damaged the old sensors that I installed on start up.

Here's a silly little trick that worked for me on a header install one time. Try putting a washer with the thickness of about 1/8" or so on the O2 sensor. This will leave it slightly backed out and less susceptible to detecting a problem. Had no codes after this was done. Don't know if it will work on yours. Worth a shot.

I have not thrown one code. I think its mostly in the tuning and "not" shutting off the codes.

Default codes

Drove my car today to show in Mount Olive NC about 120 mile round trip. No codes yet. This is a total of about 200 miles and multiple starts with no codes since installing new GM front sensors and 12" extensions. Man I hope this holds up and I don't jinx myself.

Yes new front sensors in the orginal position. I do not know what to suggest to clean the sensors with. I tried the rear to the front also and still got one or the other codes (bank 1 or bank 2). The new GM parts were about 80.00 ea. The Goldsboro dealership had one and I bought that one and then drove down 70 to Kinston to get the other.

Hmm...think I'll just get some extensions and take my origional fronts that are in my manifolds still and throw them in the headers and see what happens

First off, sorry about the mix up..thought those were the rears
I was throwing that code to after the install of LG Streets. I had the car tuned also. Code still came up. I told the tuner about it. Brought it back down to them (ECS) and since then I have no more codes coming up. Been a couple of days and about 150 miles or so. I was getting the code every day within 25 miles of driving. It could be that you should mention this problem to your tuner and let him fix it. My guys did!
best of luck
regards,
dcd58
Don

edit: also heard that you can't really clean the sensors(read that somewhere)
