Default which header primary size?

On a Z06 with just a Halltech venom. Which size header primaries should be used? The 1 3/4" or the 1 7/8"? I was thinking of the AR headers with the cats x-pipe. I'm going to keep the stock Ti to start with. Need cats since we have emission checking up here.

thx

If you are staying relatively stock then get LG Streets (3/4). If you are going stock cubes but a cam or heads/cam get the LG Pros (3/4). If you are going FI or more cubes go with AR 7/8.

Be sure you know what your end goal is or you might wind up buying two sets of headers....

1.75 unless you will be going with a HUGE cam / heads or forced induction, then go with 1.875. I'm going to buy 1.75 ARH.

If I'm planning a cam and perhaps SC later on down the road, is it smart to do the 7/8 ARs now if the headers are my first purchase?

Go with the 1 7/8", you will make more power over the 1 3/4" and lose nothing in the bottom. I would ask ARH about a step header, they make better power than a constant diameter header in almost every instance.

I purchased 1 7/8 LT's when I was doing a H/C combo on stock bottom end because I planned on doing a stroker setup with a blower at some point down the road.

I went with 1 7/8" LT's because I got a deal on used set I like the idea that I can use them as I climb the mod ladder.

Understand H/C, etc, with 1 7/8. Thought they had to much flow for a stock system, with resulting loss of HP and torque. So his power would be way down until additional mods are performed. Right or wrong?
