cop interested in our vette
sold our acura to some folks from detroit today . they needed a temporary plate so took their car and the acura to get the tag and i followed in the c5 to bring my wife back home . i was following a police car and doing the speed limit ,when i turned into the license bureau lot they came back and drove around the vette . i got out to take our plates off the acura but they stopped my when i got out . i'm saying to myself ''i didn't do anything, i wonder what's happening'' . the policeman driving says' hi, nice car' what color is that'. i reply 'nassau blue''. he says 'nice color, i'm redoing a motorcycle and think i'll paint it that color' . i was left wondering what they'd said if they'd come past while i was taking license plates off the acura . . . .peace

It's not a color that you see every day - maybe it was simply as innocent as the LEO stated. He admired the color and was asking what the color was called. I think driving a high profile car like a Corvette, it's easy to forget that the LEO's are just guys wearing badges, uniforms and sidearms. Every time one talks to you it isn't because he's suspicious. Underneath the uniform and the other stuff is a just a guy (or a gal) that might be gearheads.
