Default ls6 vs ls2 vs truck coils???

i have an ls6, and msd wires, but the stock ls6 coils. I just purchased a set of raised valve covers for my new etp heads, and the valve covers are for an ls2, therefore they have ls2 bolt holes for the ls2 coils.

I personally believe there is no advantage to msd over ls7 coils... there are threads all over that brag about the stock ls7 coils... but, i have the old ls6 coils.... so, im trying to figure out what kind of leap, if any, there was between the ls6 to the ls2's and ls7's? I will upgrade my ls6 coils to ls2 coils or possibly ls7's if they are the same bolt style. I can also upgrade to ls2 style msd's. Im just trying to figure out if i need to upgrade at all.... bc the simplest solution is to fabricate my ls6 coil bracket to fit my valve covers, and move on down the road. For whatever its worth, im making 800wrhp here soon, so... i do need good coils.

and then theres truck coils...
I want to know if anyone has ran truck coils on ls1 ls6 cars, and what i have to do to get the truck coils to adapt. It seems like truck coils are the way to go for big hp.... what do i have to get to make them work as far as plugs and adapters?? Thanks, Brandon

Brandon, not sure if the other coils are any better than the LS6 ones you have now. I have had the LS1 ones from my 99 Coupe on my blower setup for 13k now and I have had no issues. I would not get the MSD coils I my buddy with similar HP was having issues with his and went back to the stockers

Call Andy at A&A or ECS and ask the high HP guys and you should be set, I know ECS likes the LS7 plug wires better than the MSDs that I am using, so when my MSDs need replaced I will go that route
