I was looking at buying Vette from a Forum Member's here online, after going to the bank, I discovered that I have some durrogatory things on my Credit Report that are not of my doing, that being said, my score has dropped down about 100 points.
It's going to take me a while to dipsute and get the issues fixed since you can no longer call them to fix it, you have to write to them. All which will take a few months. My thoughts, is I'll just buy one and pay in cash, although I know my options will be a little limited.
On to the Question...What is that absolute highest mileage car that one would want to purchase without dealing with any issues??

It actually doesnt take that long to hear back from them. The credit burreaus have to respond to you within 30 days or else they HAVE to take off the item. MAKE SURE YOU CERTIFY MAIL THE LETTERS!!!! VERY IMPORTANT!! Also, every year or so run your creidt and make sure that it hasn't showed up again; which is the problem I am having. Also, keep all the copies of everything for the rest of your life just in case. THe only burreau that wouldn't remove mine was Experian, which is a bunch of GOOD LUCK!
Its not really the miles I'd be concerned with but rather what kind of miles they are. Were they hard road racing or drag racing miles? Or were they low rpm freeway miles?
I bought my 2002 Coupe with 83,000 miles and it hasn't had one drive train issue in the 30,000+ miles I've put on it in the past year. My car racked up all 83,000 miles in only 3 years prior to my buying, which to me means the previous owner did a lot of freeway driving.
I recently put my car on the dyno before and after a header install and got consistently higher numbers than most other coups. I'll take that as meaning I have a healthy engine. My mods and hp are in my sig.
It sounds like you need to do a deep research on these cars. They will go WELL over 200k mi. without breaking a sweat.
First and foremost it's a piece of machinery, a very special one at that. As with all machinery maintainence is key. If the seller has all receipts (service, mods, etc.) and the vin matches the color, options, etc. and you are able to buy, do so. The more you over analyze the purchase the longer it will take for you to get behind the wheel of a vette.
FWIW, I wouldn't hesitate a second to purchase from a forum member.
