modifying stock hood
I have a hi-rise hood on my car and was thinking of putting on a different hood.
I have a stock hood sitting in my garage and was wondering if the right play is to buy a different hood or to punch holes and intake and exhaust scoops into the stock hood .
Has anyone modified their stock hood fairly extensively and was it worth the effort/time/money ?
So the question is .....do you buy an aftermarket hood or do you modify the stock hood.
I found a stingerhood skin (only). A friend on mine had an old donor hood. We heated skin from the frame with a heat gun and SLOOOWLY worked it all around the hood. He then used a product called Fiberglue to bond the new skin on. I would keep the stock hood incase you ever want to reuse or sell. This is how mine came out...

Is that a wide body? I would love to see it from more angles.
