Joe, I am not sure on the light. I would imagine it is in the unit itself. If you do need a new one, I have one from a 2002 (dual) that I will make you a very good deal on.
I bought it thinking that mine was acting up and then found out it was the actuators, not the head unit.
I think you will need another unit or have that one rebuilt. There was someone on the forum who was rebuilding them a while back. Might want to do a search.

This happened to mine a couple of months ago, and I've seen many other posts about it. It seems that this is a common problem. There is a forum member named David R. (Forum name mandigital) that can fix the problem. You can email him at digitalguy_1@charter.net and see if he can help you.
I just haven't had the chance to pull the control panel and send it to him, but hopefully in the next few weeks. Hope this helps.
