Default Corbeau seats... A4? or Fx1

Hey guys..

Im ordering some new seats to keep me in the car under hard cornering.
I wish caravaggios but cant spend that much.

I like the Corbeau seats...
should I got with the a4 or Fx1

a4 reclining...

fx1 fixed back.

thing is the a4's can be done in the nice black/grey microsuede..
the FX1 only come in regular cloth I would probably do black with red insert.

I would never go fixed back unless its a pure race car that NEVER sees the street!

And I would never go a reclining because it CAN'T be that much of an upgrade over sport seats... You want to keep yourself in the seat better, first try a racing harness with stock sport seats. You want better holding than that, then fixed back is your only option.

I dont mind not reclining especially if I can re-use stock brackets and keep the TILT functionality...

I want something that holds me in the seat! stock seats suck!!

It really depends on how you use your Vette. Does see any track time? If yes then go with the FX1, I have one and love it. I visit the track (road courses) at least 4-5 times per year. I also leave the seat in the Vette at all times, no issues with comfort at all.

I've got the FX1-pro, and not only does it fit perfectly in the car, but I really like the driving position and it definitely holds you firmly in the seat. Love 'em, even as a car I drive around every other day.

I also agree that a reclining "racing" seat isn't worth a crap. JMHO

FX1 pros it is. I just wanted to hear they are comfortable once set into position.

I have a 36 waist so I should be good 510 195. I think a pro in the passenger side too lol got to keep weight to a minimum

anyone think the black with yellow insert would look tacky on a YELLOW vette? or all black.
I do have the all black interior.

Based on four decades of racing, a fixed seat, and FIVE point harness with quick release is the ONLY way to go. (The fifth or crotch strap will keep your butt from meeting up with the pedals in a shunt.) And adjust those belts tight!
