What sizes are the tires?

The stock C5 wheels are 17x8.5 in front and 18x9.5 in back. You can safely run a 255-45x17 in front and a 285-40x18 in back.

Who did you buy them from? TomzWheels? Because he doesn't recommend installing the 275/295's on stock c5 wheels.

I'm sure someone will come on here and tell you that you'll be fine and that they've mounted the same exact sizes on stock wheels with no issue.

The tires are too wide for the stock wheels. IMHO.....

Places like the Tire Rack do not recommend installing those sizes on stock wheels. I too have heard of people doing it, but I don't think I would.

I just ordered those rear tires from Tomz too. The fronts though I'm getting 255s. Someone said in another thread that 275 is doable but on the extreme side. I would just contact the vendor and see if you can send them back for the size you want. You might have to pay shipping but you'll have your piece of mind and be happier in the long run.
