The reason for the part out is sitting right next to it finished in yellow.

Obviously! But that seems like a waste of a good vette that was parted out... Just my opinion...glad you could make good use out of the parts though

Its just a machine in my book but I understand your point. I was trying to sell the car complete but the market is in the toilet so moving it was next to impossible. Dealer wanted to give me nothing on trade in value so this was the best thing to do. Keep in mind now this was a Twin Turbo car with many mods which has a smaller market than a stock Z06.

Neat. Must have been alot of effort to part it out. Probably a pretty good market for the frame- which looks spotless...

Looks like fun tearing a car down that far!! I'm assuming you came out ahead by parting the car out?

Can you say it was worth it? Can you give us an idea of about how much more (% maybe) you came out ahead after all the labor/etc? I'm just curious. So a Z06 is worse less than the sum of its parts.... interesting.

I remember early on when you started parting it out. Did you make more or less $ parting it? Its ok if you dont want to say. Nice looking C6

Yes the car was worth substaintially more in pieces than as a complete car. Would I do it all over again, YES.

I also parted out my 1996 Viper GTS several years back and I netted more in pieces than a complete car. Its sad but it goes to show you where our economy is.
