Default HID fogs

The man in brown just dropped off my HID kits so I couldn't wait to test them out. I got one for the Depo headlights, and figured it would look better with HID fogs too. I can't believe the difference. True plug and play, all you have to do is mount the ballasts, which are the size of a credit card and about 1/4 inch thick. Awesome kits... fog light bulbs are 881's the color is 6k

They were only on for about 3 mins in these pics, should get brighter as they burn in for about 15 more mins...

The forbidden site. I will pm you a link. I have installed HID kits on alot of cars, this is by far the nicest kit I have seen for under 80 bucks. I will take a pic of the ballast in a few minutes.

a few pics....

I included the stock 881 bulb in the picture so you can see how small the ballast is. Very easy to hide...

The OEM housing actually produces a great pattern with HID conversion capsules. The same pattern as my Hella Micro DE's. (the only reason I swapped is the Hella's were smaller and my OEM fogs were crappy looking) Great stuff.

Hey Ron,

Forgive my ignorance but I've never worked with HID's before...the "fog" set you got, do they literally plug right into the stock foglight housings and plug directly into the stock harness?

Also, you said you converted your depo's...did you use the same kit? Any detailed info you could provide would be extremley helpful. As of now I was looking at these for my depo's (the h7 6000k). What did you do about the high beams on your depos?

TIA,

Jason

My Depo lights have not arrived yet, I ordered the HID kit in advance.
As far as the fog light install, there is a small piece of plastic on the factory harness that plugs to the bulb that needs to be trimmed off, that is the only modification that needs to be made. I am going out in my shop after my 2 pots of morning coffee and will take a few detailed pics of the install...

SWEET! Thanks man. Word to the wise...before you mount your depo's, wallow out the bolt holes on the brackets as much as you can, you're going to want the extra bolt hole opening for adjusting.

So if I'm reading correctly, you did order the (above) kit to use with the depos as well?

yes, I did order the 881's and H7's. I was going to order the high beams also, but I figured I would save the community from ufo sightings with all the candle power on my front end LOL.
P.S. they won't put both light kits in 1 box to save on shipping....
