Default H-pipe

Hey guys, just curious if driving without mufflers, and having the exhaust exit through the stock H-Pipe is hazardous to health because of the carbon monoxide? I’m waiting for a part of my borla straight pipes to come in before I can mount them

Depends,,If you keep the windows down and don't sit still a lot wouldn't hurt. In the old days a lot of kids ran around with glass packs dumping under the car. Radio up windows down!!

Realy no different than the dumps people install. What you do need to be careful of is burning the underside of the car. The hot exhaust blowing like a torch on the floor is not a good plan.

It's just as bad as idling in your garage with your stock exhaust. There's nothing in between your H-pipe and catback that makes carbon monoxide levels any lower. However, the high heat from your exhaust/H-pipe will be going in all the wrong places... for example, you rear composite leaf spring.

As a result, its not a good idea to drive with just the H-pipe. Hazardous to your health? Not really. To your car? Probably.
