Default Wheel options, CCW alternatives?

I want to get new wheels. Chrome or clear coated polished aluminum. Love the CCW 505a's but they do not offer chrome or clear coated polished. I hear the CCW polished alum. are a nightmare to keep clean.

I am looking for something as nice as the CCW's, max budget of about $2600 (4 wheels, not including tires). Any suggestions?

I’m as about as lazy as they come and I have no problem keeping my CCWs clean.

It takes me about two (2) Beers to complete the Job.

You just responded to my other thread, I quote you: "I take the time to remove the wheels and clean them, probably once a month. If you have the tools, it’s nothing more than a thorough clean and wax, so why not complete the Job with a wheel polish?"

You must be an awfully slow beer drinker!

I watch TV and the Hottie across the street while I’m working.

I posted this in the other thread... but I'll post it again anyway. It bears repeating that the wheels never left the car in the 6 months between these pictures!

I have CCW 505As on a daily driver 20,000+ miles a year. They get dirty, they get cleaned. Every so often I pull them off to polish the inner barrel back up. It takes me about 5 minutes per wheel after I wash the car to make them look very good on a daily driver. When I feel the need, I put in some real elbow grease and they come right back to perfect. Don't let these guys scare you away. They are more difficult, but if you love your car it is worth it and certainly not TOO much hassle. The only time you need to take them off is to get to the caked on crap on the inner barrel, which in my experience I have had to do with ANY wheel that I have had.

From this...

To this...

By the way... the wheels never came off the car between those two pics.

PM member OtherTime...he just got his brand new 19/20 CCW 505a chromed by CCW. They shipped out to CalChrome to have it done, but they will do/offer it to you if you call them.
